Shi’dea Lane, Cleveland Bus Driver Uppercut Victim – New Videos
Cleveland, Ohio – On September 18th, a 22 year veteran bus driver, who worked for the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) got into a verbal altercation with Shi’dea Lane a passenger on the bus. The altercation erupted into a physical fight and the bus driver delivered an uppercut punch directly to the jaw of Shi’dea Lane. Passengers witness the bus driver grabbing Lane by the hair and dragging her until he was able to throw her off the bus.
Last week, a video recorded by a fellow passenger was posted on the internet, and the video went viral of the bus driver giving quite the blow to the woman. Sparking national media attention.
Shi’dea Lane, says the argument between the two started, when the bus driver would not giver her time to get her money to pay for the bus ride.
At one point, in the video you can hear the the bus driver telling Lane, ” He would run her over with the bus”.The argument escalated, and you can hear threatening to fight the driver during the bus ride ride.
The driver then says he will get his daughter and granddaughter to come down and deal with the 25-year-old woman, who then tells him to bring along his “mammy,” she will fight all of them.
The bus driver commented, ” Your face looks like it had been sliced up” to the passenger. Suddenly, The woman approaches the bus driver, it appears that she hit him as the bus is in motion.
The driver stops the bus, and rises from his seat, and begin to yelling “Your going to jail now” and hits the young woman before throwing her off the bus.
“She want to be a man, I’m gonna treat you like a man,” the driver announces to the screaming crowd.
RTA officials are unsure when the uppercut incident occurred, but it is believed to have happened on Sept. 18,2012.
The RTA released a statement. It Reads:
RTA saw the video posted on YouTube of the operator incident on October 11. Through the investigation, we believe the incident occurred on Sept. 18. Upon identifying the driver, he was immediately suspended and removed from duty.His behavior is absolutely unacceptable. RTA apologizes to our customers for this incident. A full investigation continues.
“We also saw the video today. Upon review, the driver was removed from duty and suspended. We are investigating,” RTA representative Mary Shaffer told The Cleveland Leader.
Shi’dea Lane has had a troubled life. Although, she is a mother of a 4 year-old, she has been shot 3 times in 2006 and stabbed.
