Ja Rule Released From Prison Today
Rapper Ja Rule was released from prison today, but he’s not exactly a free man. MyFox NY reports that “Ja Rule left an upstate New York prison Thursday morning after serving most of his two-year sentence for illegal gun possession and headed straight into federal custody in a tax case.”
When the prison gates clanged shut behind him after serving a two-year sentence for illegal gun possession, U.S. Marshals were waiting to escort Ja Rule to his next destination.
The “Put It On Me” rapper reported to prison in June 2011.
According to his website, Jah kept himself busy studying for his high school diploma. The budding actor already has movie roles lined up. His next movie, “I’m In Love With A Church Girl”, is due out in Spring 2013.
