Marsha Ambrosius’s New Music Entitled “Sky”

Posted By Urban News Hour | June 25, 2013

Marsha Ambrosius is known to be one of the most prolific writers in R&B/Soul music. Whether she is telling a personal story, touching on controversial topics or sharing a beautiful heartfelt song, the singer/songwriter always touches a cord.

While her fans anxiously await a new single, and or updated news on her forthcoming sophomore album, Marsha has decided to share a very touching and emotional new record entitled “Sky,” which she recently penned. On a flight back from Los Angeles the British songstress took some video footage of the clouds and realized the image went perfect with this piece of work. Read what she had to say about it below, and listen to the soul stirring ballad after the jump:

I was compelled to write and play this song because I heard it in a dream. I was out in LA doing a couple of writing session a couple of weeks ago and this song happened. Flying back to Philadelphia the other day, I captured footage of the clouds on my iPhone. Felt only right to put the two together as I reflected on the lives lost these past couple of weeks. Jimme Wall Street, Lil Snupe, Aunty. I can listen to this and remember. I can listen to this and want to forget. I can listen to this and mend a broken heart or feel it break. I made this song to FEEL!

LOVE, Marsha Ambrosius
