Comedian Craig Robinson Busted For Marijuana and Ecstasy Pills
Funny man Craig Robinson recently found himself in a situation that’s no laughing matter. The former Office star was arrested on Wednesday when he was trying to board a plane in the Bahamas with half a gram of marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills.
Robinson wore a T-shirt and shorts when he appeared in front of magistrate to plead guilty to two counts of drug possession. The comedian, who was in the Bahamas to perform at a comedy show at the Atlantis hotel, was facing up to 4 years in prison for the charges.
But instead, the actor got a simple slap on the wrist — a $1,000 fine and orders to leave the country immediately.
At his hearing Robinson said he brought the drugs from the U.S. but claims he had no idea that they were illegal in the Bahamas.
This drug arrest is the sequel to Robinson’s 2008 illegal substance brush with authorities. At that time he was busted for possession of MDMA and meth. But when Robinson entered a drug diversion program all of the charges were dropped.
