Mega Pop Star Beyoncé To Perform Super Bowl Halftime 2013

New Orleans – Mega Pop Star Beyoncé Knowles confirmed that she will take the stage in headlining the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, on February 3rd 2013.

Beyonce’ comfirmed the performance by posting a picture with Feb. 3rd 2013 on her Tumblr account, the post was also shared on her Facebook page, where it has already garnered more than 40,000 Likes, 2,000 shares and 1,000 comments.

Beyonce has won 16 Grammy Awards and sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in her hometown of Houston, Texas in 2004.

At last season’s Super Bowl in February, Madonna performed at halftime with guests CeeLo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO and M.I.A.,  Her performance was seen by 114 million people.

New Orleans last hosted a Super Bowl in 2002, making next year’s game the first NFL championship in the city since Hurricane Katrina devastated parts of the Louisiana Superdome in 2005.

Pepsi is returning as the sponsor for the halftime show, since doing so in 2007, when Prince performed.

During, Beyonce’s performance at the Pepsi NFL Halftime Show, it could likely include husband-rapper Jay-Z in a featured collaboration.

The NFL has yet, to confirm the Grammy winner’s participation, but an but an official announcement is expected on Wednesday.
