Cee Lo Green Investigated By LAPD For Sexual Assault
Cee-Lo Green is now being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Departmenet after being accused of sexual assault by a Los Angeles woman who recently filed a complaint against him.
The LAPD reportedly opened a sexual battery investigation into an incident related to the singer and Voice judge after an anonymous woman filed a complaint against him, one in which he insistently denies.
The identity of the victim of the alleged sexual assault has not been revealed.
When the supposed incident occurred and what exactly was done by Green, real name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, also has not been said.
Though details have not been made public, police have visited an L.A. restaurant said to be connected to the case, and have interviewed several employees and the manager.
Green denies the sexual assault allegations, and says that he has not been to the restaurant in question in three months.
“Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” he said
A source close to Green adds, “I have never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody.”
At this point, the investigation is nothing more than a woman’s unverified complaint. It hasn’t been referred to the district attorney and no charges are imminent.
Green is taking a hiatus from “The Voice” during Season 4, along with fellow mentor Christina Aguilera. The two will be replaced by Usher and Shakira, and will return for Season 5.
